ETDE, representing a grouping that includes Brézillon, is undertaking a Design and Build project involving the construction of a new Data Center, at La Courneuve, in Seine-Saint-Denis. The contract is worth €32m for ETDE.

The contract, which was signed in early summer, is currently entering ETDE’s execution phase: the company is designing and installing high and low-current power supplies, and the air-conditioning for Interxion 7.

An ambitious project…

The building will be constructed in two phases. The first, covering an area of 9,000 m2, including 4,600 m2 of computer rooms, is due to be handed over in August 2012. A further 4,000 m2 of computer rooms are planned for a later phase. In addition to the specialised technical requirements associated with the world of data centers, the main difficulty lies in the lead-times for construction, which are even shorter than usual. Phase One is due to be completed in just 12 months, i.e. around 50% less than the time typically allowed for this type of installation.  A total of 120 staff will be mobilised during the peak period.

… that will reinforce ETDE’s expertise

ETDE is designing and building a third Data Center in four years for Interxion France, the European market leader in hosting IT and telecoms equipment. “We closely monitor our client’s developments to ensure that we can meet its increasingly demanding specifications in terms of testing and availability of installations”, explains Project Manager Philippe N’Guyen.

Since 2006, ETDE has designed and built 25 Data Centers in France and the United Kingdom.
