The cornerstone of our approach is the Investors in People standard. We invest hugely each year in the training and development of our staff.

We have three core levels – Basic Skills, Job Improvement and Moving into Management. This ranges from basic skills training and apprenticeships, City & Guilds, NVQs and HNDs, through to nationally-recognised qualifications such as BIFM and ILM and professional studies such as CIMA, CIPS and CIPD.

We have a well-developed competency matrix which enables us to define clearly the skills mix required. To make sure our managers have all the necessary skills, we offer a wide portfolio of supervisory and management development – including courses accredited by bodies such as the British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM) Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), the Institute of Safety and Health (IOSH) and Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA).

Our Bouygues Energies & Services UK Academy provides high-quality learning and development opportunities such as the Graduate Scheme, Galileo management development programme and postgraduate scholarships for Masters Degrees. The Academy also provides access for our high-potential candidates to internationally-run leadership development courses organised by Bouygues Construction.
