'Women of the Year' Awards Sponsored by Bouygues Energies & Services

This week, we sponsored the annual Women of the Year Lunch and Awards at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London. The day celebrates the most outstanding women from all over the UK and gives a space for women to meet one another and be inspired.

As Dominique Miller, from Women of the Year said: ‘From shepherdess to scientist, foster parent to foreign correspondent, activist to artist; being recognised as a 'Woman of the Year' is a wonderful accolade and the entire day is a most memorable and inspiring experience for each guest.’

Women of the Year has recognised, celebrated and inspired women of all backgrounds since 1955 when it was founded by the late Lady Tony (Antonella) Lothian OBE with Lady Georgina Coleridge and Odette Hallowes MBE.

Since then, The Women of the Year Foundation was formed and has been running since 2001. The foundation supports disadvantaged women worldwide by encouraging and helping them in business ventures as well as aiming to improve their lives through mentoring and training.

We were honoured to attend the celebration and be amongst such magnificent, inspirational women. A quote from the author, Toni Morrison stood out;

‘When you get these jobs that you have been so brilliantly trained for, just remember that your real job is that if you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.’
