Bouygues Energies & Services has been awarded a new cleanroom refurbishment project for one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the UK.

With a longstanding relationship and a proven track record within the industry, Valneva, a speciality vaccine company, has entrusted them with the refurbishment of their existing cleanroom facility. The new facility, classified Grade B cleanroom, and all supporting areas will help Valneva to scale up the potential production of a vaccine to respond to the COVID-19 virus.

Their in-house specialist cleanroom team will provide a turnkey solution by designing & building the 150m² cleanroom space along with all associated fit-out, electrical and mechanical services, commissioning and validation.

Steve Weir, Bouygues Energies & Services Contracting Managing Director stated: “Our track record and reputation in cleanroom construction is exceptional. Now more than ever these types of facilities used to develop new vaccines is of paramount importance to us all, and we will put every effort into getting this facility completed in the shortest possible timescale. Also we are very proud to support our client and contribute to fight this global pandemic.”

Bouygues Energies & Services will build the facility in fast track programme to ensure the state of the art cleanroom is handed over in 8 weeks, in line with the construction programme.
