Largest 'Subsidy-Free' Solar Farm in the UK to be Built by Bouygues Energies & Services for NextEnergy Capital.

In June 2020, work will begin to construct two subsidy-free solar farms totalling 115 MWp in Llanwern, Wales, and Strensham, England.

Llanwern at 75MW is the largest of its kind in the UK and displays the UK’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The Llanwern solar farm will consist of over 187,500 solar modules spanning 300 acres, whilst Strensham will have 100,000 modules covering 125 acres. Combined, these solar farms will provide enough energy annually to cover the electricity needs of 22,000 people in the UK.
