We are proud to announce that we have won a Princess Royal Training Award for our Core Management Academy programme. It is the second year running that we have been recognised, following a win last year for our ‘Building Your Leadership Signature’ programme. Supported by HRH The Princess Royal, these awards recognise outstanding training and skills development programmes that have resulted in exceptional commercial benefits for their business.

Each year under the instruction of HRH Princess Anne, The City and Guilds of London Institute undertake The Princess Royal Training Awards to identify, recognise, share and celebrate the impact of outstanding training on businesses and the wider economy. The successful organisations range from multi-nationals and SMEs, through to charities, the public sector and small employers.

Designed internally by our Learning & Development team alongside subject matter experts, the Core Management Academy programme combines practical management soft skill development with guidance on internal processes to equip managers with the tools needed to succeed in their role.

Chris Jones, Chief Executive of the City & Guilds Group said:

"We were thrilled with the quality and variety of entries this year. The work that HR and L&D teams do to train, upskill and reskill teams is critical; helping individuals to reach their potential and find meaningful employment, while supporting businesses in developing the skills for success, and ultimately producing the productive workforce we so urgently need. The organisations we recognise today all provide compelling evidence that tangibly proves the value that comes from investing in people."

Adam Moore, Head of Learning and Talent Development, Bouygues Energies & Services UK said:

"From a simple vision 'everyone has the right to a good people manager' I am so pleased at how far this programme has come. It is a genuine pleasure to work alongside and learn from our managers and see them grow throughout the 18 month programme and beyond. Our people are the heart of our business and through the academy we have given managers the tools they need to understand the importance of their role and the impact they have on their teams."
