Bouygues Energies & Services have partnered with the Supply Chain Sustainability School, an organisation founded in 2012. The organisation has been founded by seven founding partners with an aim to tackle challenges in the industry whilst upskilling those working within or aspiring to work in the built environment sector. They focus on 17 key topics all based around sustainability, including topics in offsite, digital, procurement, lean construction and management.

Companies like Bouygues Energies & Services pay membership fees for the school so that the array of the learning materials is available to their supply chain, giving them free access to learning material including thousands of CPD accredited learning and training resources. A method that allows Bouygues Energies & Services to minimise their global footprint by teaching their supply chain, along with an opportunity to share and collaborate with other partner members on key topic such as modern slavery and work more efficiently.

Jerome Crespin, Head of Procurement at Bouygues Energies & Services, Industry says: “Supply Chain Sustainability School has been helping us and our supply chain partners to deliver on many topics from carbon, FIR, Modern Slavery Act as well as sustainability matters. They are the partner of choice to achieve our sustainability goals and enhance our supply chain abilities.”

The Supply Chain Sustainability School is assisting Bouygues Energies & Services in practical steps to implement our sustainability agenda. The school’s Learning Pathways is a useful digital tool to embed sustainability awareness with our Supply Chain Partners. It allows to allocate specific learning in a way that is fully customisable to our requirements as a business. Our target is to deliver training to 50% of key supply chain partner we work with on a regular basis for 2022.

The Supply Chain Sustainability School has also collaborated with major contractor’s partners of the school to provide a free Carbon Calculator to help our supply chain partners to measure and report their carbon emissions. The carbon calculator enables our supply chain partner to enter amounts of energy and/or materials from invoices or other sources and will then calculate our carbon emissions.

By developing and providing industry insight on key topics highlighted by Jerome, Bouygues Energies & Services are ensuring all parts of their company and stake holders are aware and acting to minimise their impact.

Bouygues Energies & Services are educating the supply chain on how to reduce their global footprint, minimise their carbon impact and sustainably source their materials.
