Bouygues Energies & Services work with NorthCare Charity
A specialist life sciences and data centre engineering company based in Manchester, Bouygues Energies & Services are working with NorthCare Charity on various fundraising and volunteering events around the Greater Manchester area.
Northcare were nominated by an employee for charities close to their hearts, an internal scheme to help organisations with financial aid. Each month employees can nominate a charity and if selected a donation made by the company.
Northern Care Alliance (NCA) NHS Foundation Trust delivers outstanding care across Bury, Oldham, Rochdale and Salford by funding innovative equipment, education, research, and wellbeing activities.
Through generous donations, they support NHS staff to deliver the best care possible for over a million patients and their families every year.
In June 2022 NorthCare launched a 1.4 million fundraising campaign to support the build of a state-of-the-art RAPTOR operating theatre in the Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital at Salford Royal Hospital. Bouygues Energies & Services supported their campaign by pledging over £2000 towards the fundraising campaign.
The purpose-built theatre will be designed to treat patients with multiple life-threatening complex trauma injuries in one place. It will remove the time-consuming transfers between departments, and thousands of lives will be saved across the whole of the Northwest region.
“Bouygues Energies & Services have been amazing with their support. We are so grateful for the fabulous corporate donation which is supporting our current major RAPTOR appeal. We are aiming to raise £1.4 million to fund the life-saving and pioneering RAPTOR Theatre that will be part of the new Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital at Salford Royal. This support is just fantastic and will have a significant impact on patients and staff alike” Karen Casper, Fundraising Officer at NorthCare Charity.
Emma Gould Head of HR at Bouygues Energies & Services said: “We know the importance of the work charities like NorthCare carry out, it gives us immense pleasure to be able to support such great causes. We know the little that we can do can make a significant difference in the community, people, and environment.”
On top of financially supporting charities, Bouygues Energies & Services also encourage their team to volunteer. Employees are allocated two volunteering days annually to support a cause of their choice.
Emma added “To encourage our team to volunteer we have two days allocated every year for volunteering, whether it’s supporting a charity, cleaning street’s or helping raise funds. We know the importance of giving back. Last week, a group of our guys went to Fairfield Hospital in Bury to help assemble benches for NorthCare charity. The benches will be used in wellbeing spaces for patients and Hospital staff.”
Karen added: “In addition to the financial support, employees are kindly donating their precious time to volunteer to assemble over a dozen benches for our Bury and Rochdale sites and community areas to help with our wellbeing initiatives. It has been such a pleasure working with the Bouygues Energies & Services and we look forward to cultivating such a positive relationship in the future.”
Volunteering is one of many schemes Bouygues Energies & Services have in place. As a company, they strive to have a positive impact on the local and global community.
