Bouygues Energies & Services inspired by World Day for Safety & Health at Work 2023

Bouygues Energies & Services, a turnkey design and build engineering company, is proud to support World Day for Safety and Health at Work. In collaboration with Hilti, a leading industry supplier, Bouygues Energies & Services is committed to promoting health and safety across its UK facilities.

Over the next six months, Bouygues Energies & Services and Hilti teams will visit pharmaceutical and data centre sites to educate employees, suppliers, and contractors on the long-term and short-term risks associated with power tools. The first event is scheduled for May 17th, 2023, in Wales.

During the event, participants will attend a short presentation that highlights the risks onsite, followed by Hilti demonstrating best practices and preventative methods on their stalls. The stalls will cover different safety topics, such as HAV’s, DUST, and NOISE, in a speed dating format to ensure everyone onsite can visit each stall, get direct exposure to the tools, and learn about any safety measures that can help them in their day-to-day job.

Simon Millward, Health and Safety Director said: “In an ideal world, workers risk to occupational health would be designed out during design stages of construction. However, we must consider that this is not always possible based on the various construction processes and techniques used within the industry.

 

As an organisation, we are partnering with industry leading supplier Hilti to provide insights and live demonstrations into some of the power tool technology and innovation which can improve elements of engineering and administrative controls.

 

Our objective for the day is to raise awareness on some key occupational health risks alongside a range of power tool solutions to provide a safer working environment.”
