Celebrating the unwavering dedication of our apprentices!

Bouygues Energies & Services take immense pride in offering more than 120 structured apprenticeships across a diverse range of fields. The apprenticeship programme is designed to attract the next generation of talent to the engineering industry and provide opportunities for upskilling existing employees. A fantastic pathway to acquire new skills and attain qualifications at any stage of one's career. The annual Apprentice Awards serve as an invaluable platform to celebrate the unwavering dedication, eagerness to learn, and hard work exhibited by our apprentices. These qualities are of immeasurable value to the teams they work with. Within the framework of these awards, eight categories acknowledge the diverse ways in which our apprentices consistently go the extra mile.

On Thursday, July 13th, we joyously celebrated our annual Apprentice Awards! The event took place at the esteemed King's College London. It was a remarkable ceremony dedicated to acknowledging the hard work and significant contributions made by our apprentices to our business. Andy Tighe received the specialist recognition award in the apprentice champions category for his exceptional work on life science projects he states,

“I am extremely grateful and honoured to have received the special recognition award as an apprentice mentor, at the Apprentice Awards hosted by Bouygues Energies & Services in London. This recognition holds immense significance for me as it underscores the value of investing in the growth and development of aspiring employees. I am privileged to have had the opportunity to serve as a mentor to talented individuals and witness their journey towards success. It has been a pleasure to contribute to the advancement of future leaders for the business and the wider industry. One of my favourite aspects of Bouygues Energies & Services as a business is its remarkable commitment to fostering personal growth and professional advancement. The apprentice programme and the Apprentice Awards, in my opinion, embody this outstanding quality within the company.”

Aidan Conlon the winner of this years Best Performance at Work has recently completed his apprenticeship and qualified as an electrician, he added,

“I am very happy to receive my award for Best Apprentice Performance at Work award at the Apprentice of the Year Awards. It has rounded off a good year for my personal development by qualifying in my trade and winning the award. I would like to thank all the people that nominated me and everyone that have helped me, as I would not have won without them. A huge thank you to the event organisers for hosting such an incredible event.”

Suzanne Bingham, our L&D Manager, played a pivotal role in the success of this year's ceremony. She shared her thoughts, saying,

"At the Apprentice Awards this year, we heard incredible examples of individuals excelling at work, achieving academically, and overcoming personal challenges. I am extremely proud of all the apprentices who were nominated and grateful to everyone at Bouygues E&S who supports the apprenticeship program. It is exciting to be part of a positive and dynamic company that values and invests in its future talent through apprenticeships. I am delighted that we have the chance to showcase the importance of our apprentices each year at the Apprentice Awards."

Emma Gould, HR Director at Bouygues Energies & Services, expressed her pride in the Apprenticeship Awards, stating,

"Apprentices play a crucial role in our business, we are very proud of this year's winners and also those who were shortlisted. We are equally as proud of all our apprentices past and present. I have a personal passion for the apprenticeship programme as I was once an apprentice myself and understand the journey of growth that is embraced. Thank you to everyone involved in making this a success and thank you to our apprentices who show dedication, resilience and passion every day.”
