Bouygues Energies & Services Empowers Apprentices: Zac and Wan Share Their Journey

Two apprentices, Zac and Wan, share their experiences and aspirations as they embark on their upskill apprenticeships with Bouygues Energies & Services.

Zac, a Finance Admin Apprentice at Bouygues Energies & Services, believes that an apprenticeship offers the best pathway to success. He appreciates the opportunity to learn on the job while having his studies paid for, a better option than paying for university without having a relevant job at the time. Zac's passion lies in working with large figures and being a part of significant projects. Zac's main goal is to acquire relevant qualifications that can further his career, and he has already made remarkable progress in a short period of time. He cherishes the balance between work and studies, as it keeps him engaged and continuously learning.

Wan, chose to pursue an upskill apprenticeship to gain important experience and grow professionally. With a background in Accounting and Financial Management, Wan's interest lies in understanding the perspectives of finance and accounting within a business. Working at Bouygues Energies & Services allows her to exercise technical skills while also honing her communication and problem-solving abilities in the contracting industry. Wan's goal is to achieve the CIMA qualification and expand her work-related skills and experience, enabling her to progress into more senior roles. She appreciates the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, gaining practical experience while completing her studies.

Both Zac and Wan express their gratitude for the hands-on learning experience provided by Bouygues Energies & Services. Aspirations and long-term goals drive both Zac and Wan. Zac plans to complete his Level 3 AAT within approximately 12-18 months, followed by Level 4 AAT and potentially CIMA. While Zac is uncertain about the exact path his career will take, he is confident that the opportunities in the finance department will allow him to excel. Wan, on the other hand, aspires to be in a position where she can continue to utilize her numerical skills and attention to detail. She finds motivation in seeing the positive impacts of her work and strives to be seen as a trusted and productive employee.
